VaLO Zigbee — LED dimmer for 3 groups of CCT+RGBW lights, remote controller
Zigbee remote control for dimming three RGB (Red, Green, Blue) and CCT (white temperature) LED luminaire groups. The remote is battery operated (2xAAA finger battery not included). The button works with Zigbee receivers, or paired with receivers with RGB and CCT capability.
Control of desired groups of luminaires can be implemented wirelessly or connected to a smart controller, enabling programming and timing of groups of luminaires. In smart control applications, a hub/bridge connected to a router is also required to which the remote control is paired.
Zigbee remote control for dimming three RGB (Red, Green, Blue) + CCT (white temperature) LED luminaire groups. The remote is battery operated (2xAAA finger battery not included). To get the remote to control your RGB+CCT lighting, you also need an RGB+CCT receiver.
- All groups are switched on and off at once by the ON/OFF button.
- Stepless colour wheel to adjust the colours
- Stepless CCT temperature control
- Use buttons 1-3 to select the desired group.
- storage space for your favourite settings (S1,.. S6)
- Press and hold S to save specific colour and brightness settings. Press briefly once to use.
- Separate buttons for dimming.
Example of use: a bedroom with three RGB+CCT LED strips: on two walls at the ceiling and under the bed. If you want to control all of them so that they can be switched on and off separately, you will need to buy separate receivers for each group, i.e. 3 RGB+CCT receivers (i.e. separate for each led strip). After installation, the receivers are paired to the desired button (buttons 1-3). You can also change the pairing afterwards.
If you want to add intelligence, e.g. to program and schedule lights, you need to have a Zigbee hub and an app like LedStore's Zigbee hub and Azoula Smart app, which are the most straightforward interfaces for this button, as the button will appear as a device in the app under Switches.
If you have ONLY colour temperature adjustable (white light hue, Kelvin, warm white to cool white) led strips, led spots or led panels, the CCT controller is suitable as a remote control: https://ledstore.fi/langaton-led-himmennin-valo-zigbee-4-ryhman-cct-ohjaussaadin. With this controller you can also control combinations where part is RGB and part is CCT.

Are LedStore's VaLO Zigbee devices compatible with other brands of Zigbee devices?
Yes! In addition to the LedStore VaLO Zigbee hub, devices such as Philips Hue bridge will work, you can use this button to:
Apple Home, IKEA TRÅDFRI, Samsung Smart Things, Google Home, Alexa and of course any other Zigbee product.
Zigbee pairing between devices?
We've gone through the pairings in blog articles that can be found on the LedStore blog under the names:
- zigbee-lighting-control-haltuun-part-1, where we go through how to pair without a hub/bridge
- zigbee-lighting-control-haltuun-part-2, which walks through pairing with a hub/bridge (Philips Hue and Samsung Smart Things)
- zigbee-lighting-control-haltuun-part-3, which completes the application options, taking into account multiple types of luminaires and sensors.

What the heck is Zigbee?
Zigbee is a wireless RF system using mesh technology, where each device is both a receiver and a transmitter, ensuring that commands get through to larger sites. Zigbee devices can be freely interconnected between different manufacturers. This device supports the latest ZIGBEE 3.0 protocol.
With LedStore's VaLO Zigbee wireless lighting control, you can control your lighting either with wall-mounted wireless buttons or with your Android/iOS device such as a tablet or phone. You can control the lighting of your entire home wirelessly if you wish, but you can also control individual lights.
Zigbee is the only complete IoT (Internet of Things) solution - from a mesh network to a universal standard that allows smart devices to talk to each other. Thanks to the dedicated mesh network created by the devices, the message always reaches its destination, as each device is a receiver and a transmitter.
Zigbee is a standardised system to which you can connect any device in the Zigbee alliance and the certified product will seamlessly communicate with other devices connected to the network. The alliance includes Google, Apple, IKEA, Amazon, Panasonic and Somfy.
Zigbee products are already in millions of homes around the world. Our devices support the latest Zigbee 3.0 standard and are backwards compatible.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX
High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.
CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.
Colour rendering index
The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.
RA value
The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.
The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.
Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
This measurement is from a 9W CCT Led spot
