Lighting ideas for different spaces

In this low-ceiling pool area, recessed lights in the concrete ceiling were not an option. Instead, effective and atmospheric lighting was created using 1200 × 600 LED panels installed in surface-mounted frames and FUNK wall lights. The LED panels provide wide, glare-free illumination, while the FUNK wall lights add depth and ambience to the lighting.

LED strip lighting is a stylish and practical solution for a walk-in closet. It creates a warm, inviting atmosphere, and when installed along the front edge of the shelves, the light illuminates your clothes without you standing in its way. A high color rendering index (CRI) ensures that clothing colors appear natural and true to life.

A living room is good to have general lighting, but layering different light sources creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. In this project, round LED panel lights provide the general lighting. An LED strip installed in the cove between the ceiling and the wall adds indirect lighting, while a FUNK wall light enhances the opposite wall. A floor lamp completes the space by providing dedicated reading light next to the sofa.

Layered lighting is easy to achieve in a bathroom by combining LED spotlights with LED strip lighting. When positioning the spotlights, it is important to ensure that rain shower heads are not placed directly beneath them, as this can cause the light to reflect back onto the ceiling. LED strips can be installed, for example, in the cove between the ceiling and the wall or inside a shampoo niche. For sauna lighting, LED strips installed under the benches, behind the backrest, or in both locations are often enough.
