Zigbee wireless system

The Zigbee system, suitable for lighting in smart homes, also allows wireless control and programming of all the luminaires in our range. Typically, sub-control is used for timing of backup lamp mode and lighting brightness, e.g. according to the time of day. In addition to so-called on/off lighting programming.

Lighting products suitable for Zigbee control

Our smart lighting products are suitable for use with a Zigbee transformer or a Zigbee receiver only. These include all our 24V led strips: our single backup lamp mode, lamp, neutral or cold 7.2 W/m - 17W/m led strips, plus our backup lamp-loadable led strips, i.e. CCT led strips, and our backup loadable Kameleontti RGB+W led strips.

In addition, all our led panels and led spots use 24V power supply, so they can be connected to a Zigbee transformer. The transformer that comes with the product will be replaced with a Zigbee transformer. The receivers have their own products for both primary (230V) and secondary (12-36V) installations. When using a Zigbee receiver, the transformer of the luminaire does not need to be dimmable. The receivers can also be used to provide wireless Zigbee control for single wall and pendant luminaires, provided there is room for a receiver in the body of the luminaire.

Zigbee products, HUB and app

Zigbee products include transformers, receivers, controllers, i.e. actuators and remote transmitters. In addition, there is a HUB to which all the controlled lighting devices are paired. The luminaires connected to the Tahan HUB are operated with the Azoula app, but you can also choose products and apps from other manufacturers as HUBs/bridges. LedStore's Zigbee-enabled products will talk to them.

To operate the lamps, we recommend Zigbee buttons with wireless control, so that the control is not limited to a mobile device, e.g. a canister. If you don't want to program your lighting, wireless Zigbee buttons and remote transmitters can be paired directly to the luminaires (transformers or receivers) and no HUB or apps are needed. They can be deployed at a later date if the need arises.

What is Zigbee?

Zigbee is a standardised framework that allows you to connect any device in the Zigbee Alliance and the certified product will communicate seamlessly with other devices connected to the network. The alliance includes Google, Apple, IKEA, Amazon, Samsung, Bega, Panasonic, Philips and Somfy.
Zigbee products are already in millions of homes around the world. Our devices support the latest Zigbee 3.0 standard and are backward compatible.

Zigbee is a MESH technology based wireless RF communication system where each device is both a receiver and a transmitter, ensuring that the packets can be transmitted even in larger locations. Zigbee devices can be freely interconnected between different manufacturers. LedStore devices support the latest ZIGBEE 3.0 protocol.

With LedStore's VaLO Zigbee wireless lighting control, you can control your lighting either with wall-mounted wireless buttons or with your Android/iOS device such as a tablet or phone. You can control your entire home's lighting wirelessly if you wish, but you can also control individual luminaires.
Zigbee is the only complete loT (Internet of Things) solution - from a mesh network to a universal standard that allows sub-devices to talk to each other. Thanks to the dedicated mesh network created by the devices, the message always gets through, with each device (transformer and receiver) both receiving and transmitting the signal.

VaLO Zigbee 12-36V receivers

LedStore's Zigbee wireless dimming receivers for 12-36V single-voltage, back-up CCT and back-up RGB+W LED strip lights. The maximum load of the receivers is either 8A or 20A. The receiver is mounted between the transformer and the luminaire and the receiver selects the junction that is brought to it, e.g. junction 24V from the transformer in and 24V to the LED strip out. So the control is done from the secondary side. So the transformer does not have to be dimmable!

This receiver is also suitable for wireless control of 24V lamps other than LED strips.

In addition to the receiver, you need either a wireless Zigbee button or a WIFI-Zigbee box and an Android/iOS device to control the strip. If pairing is done directly between a receiver/transformer and a Zigbee button, only one button can be connected to one receiver.

VaLO Zigbee 230V receivers

The receivers suitable for LedStore wireless Zigbee control are 230V. If dimmability is not desired, a receiver is selected that can switch lights (or equipment) on and off wirelessly. If you want to dim the lights wirelessly, choose a receiver that allows dimming. The maximum load for both is 250W.

with a 230V receiver, you can convert an existing spot or LED panel array to wireless, for example, and with the addition of a Zigbee hub and app for your mobile device, your lights become low lights!

In addition to the receiver, you will need either a wireless VaLO Zigbee series button or a WIFI-RF hub, an app and an Android/iOS device to control the lights. One receiver can be controlled by more than one button (e.g. when control of the top and bottom of the stairs is needed) if the lights are paired via the HUB. If the pairing is done directly between the receiver/transformer and the Zigbee button, only one button can be connected to one receiver.

The receiver is mounted on the transformer and mains power supply, i.e. control is from the primary side.

VaLO Zigbee 24V transformers

Power supplies for LedStore's wireless Zigbee dimming, backup lamp mode and backup switching. 24V transformers are suitable for all 24V luminaires as group transformers. For single-band and lamp-loadable CCT LED strip lights, spotlights and panels, as well as for back-up RGB+W LED strip lights. The transformers have a built-in RF receiver, which facilitates the installation of wireless control, as it only needs to be paired with a control button. No separate receiver is therefore required.

The maximum loads of the transformers are 30W, 50W, 100W and 200W. The transformers do not have standard wiring.

The transformers, like other LedStore Zigbee products, are compatible with IKEA TRÅDFRI, Google Home controls and software, and of course any other Zigbee product.

VaLO Zigbee controllers

Buttons and remote controls for wireless lighting control allow you to control your lighting even without a Zigbee hub and mobile app. These wireless controllers are suitable for dimming single spare lamps, for dimming spare lamps/groups of spare lamps, for dimming spare lamps and for controlling spare LED strips. The wall buttons can be freely mounted in the desired position either by screwing or by using a frame tape.

To add additional functions such as timing and other functions, the buttons are paired with a WiFi Zigbee hub (bridge, box) from the desired manufacturer, and a mobile app from the same manufacturer.
