  • Product description

This Zigbee motion sensor (PIR) can be used to turn on lights inside. Works best in spaces where people are most likely to just pop in and out, such as closets, vestibules, storage areas, utility rooms and pantries. Preferably ceiling mounted, but wall mounting is also possible. The PIR sensor switches the lights on when it detects movement in the beam area and switches the lights off after a certain time after the last detected movement. The on time is adjustable between 0 seconds and 18 hours.

Motion detection is based on infrared, which works by switching on the lights when the sensor detects a temperature (heat) in the beam area that is different from the background. We do not recommend installation near an air conditioner, air source heat pump or radiator, as the variation of heat against the background will cause the lights to turn on.

The motion sensor also includes a twilight sensor, which makes this a good choice for pathway lights and night lighting, turning on the lights from motion only when the twilight level is at a certain level. So, for example, certain lights will come on when motion is detected, but only at dusk. The light level can be adjusted from dark 0lx to bright 1000lx.
