VaLO product family

VaLO - Wireless (RF) lighting control allows you to control your lighting with either free-standing, wireless buttons and a Wifi box attached to your preferred location, as well as your Android/iOS device and the Easy Home mobile app. You can control the lighting of your entire home wirelessly if you wish, but you can also control individual lights wirelessly. There are also controllers available for wired and wireless control. We are happy to help you with any questions you may have about lighting control.

Lighting products for wireless RF control

Our wireless control products are suitable for use with either an RF transformer with wireless control or an RF receiver only. This includes all our 24V LED strip: single colour temperature, warm, neutral or cold 7,2 W/m - 17W/m led strips, with additional colour temperaturecCT-led strips, as well as our colour adjustable Kameleontti RGB+W led strip.

Almost all our led panels and led spots use 24V voltage, so they are RF transformer compatible. In this case, replace the transformer supplied with the product with an RF transformer. Our receivers have their own products for both primary (230V) and secondary (12-36V) installations. When using an RF receiver, the transformer of the luminaire does not need to be dimmable. The receivers can also be used to provide wireless RF control of individual wall and pendant luminaires, if only the luminaire body has space for a receiver.

RF control products, buttons, remote controls, Wifi box and Easy Home app

Wireless RF control products include transformers, receivers, controllers, i.e. operating buttons and remote controls. The range also includes a Wifi box to which all the luminaires to be controlled are paired. The connected lights are operated via the Easy Home (by Scott Kelly) app, which is maintained by the manufacturer.

The wireless buttons and remotes are battery-powered, so you can freely arrange the controls. Multiple buttons can be connected to a single fixture, making it easy to connect to a staircase, for example, with wireless controllers. There are also controllers that can be plugged into the mains power supply, but you can also connect the desired luminaires to the pushbutton for wireless control.

What is RF, wireless lighting control?

RF, wireless control is a system that works reliably with a low frequency radio signal (radio frequency), such as a TV remote control. The technology has been on the market for a long time and is tried and tested. The radio signal carries a long distance, up to about 30 meters, meaning that the control switch can be up to 30 meters away from the lights (receiver) and still operate the lights from the controller. The battery lasts a long time, as it only consumes power when the button is pressed. The buttons also work in sub-zero temperatures, i.e. outdoors in cold and dry conditions. Water must not get inside the battery compartment.

VaLO RF 12-36V receivers

LedStore's RF wireless dimming receivers for 12-36V monochrome, colour temperature adjustable CCT and colour adjustable RGB+W LED strip lights. The maximum load of the receivers is either 8A or 20A. The receiver is mounted between the transformer and the luminaire and the receiver passes through the voltage that is applied to it, e.g. 24V from the transformer in and 24V to the LED strip out. In other words, the control is done from the secondary side. So the transformer does not need to be dimmable!

These receivers are also suitable as receivers for wireless control of 24V luminaires other than LED strips.

In addition to the receiver, you will need either a wireless RF button or a WIFI box and an Android/iOS device to control the strip.

VaLO RF 230V receivers

Receivers for wireless RF control from LedStore 230V. If dimmability is not desired, then a receiver is selected to turn lights (or device) on and off wirelessly. If you want to dim the lights wirelessly, select a receiver that allows dimming. The maximum load for both is 250W.

with a 230V receiver you can convert an existing spot or LED panel array into a wireless one, and by purchasing a Wifi box and an app for your mobile device, your lights become smart lights!

In addition to the receiver, you need either a wireless VaLO RF series pushbutton or a WIFI-RF hub, an app and an Android/iOS device to control the lights. One receiver can be controlled by more than one button (e.g. when control is needed at the top and bottom of the stairs).

The receiver is installed between the transformer and the mains power supply, i.e. control takes place from the primary side.

VaLO RF 24V transformers

Power supplies for wireless RF dimming, colour temperature control and colour changing at LedStore. The 24V transformers are suitable for all 24V luminaires as group transformers. For monochrome and intermediate temperature adjustable CCT LED strip lights, spotlights and panels, and colour adjustable RGB+W LED strip lights. The transformers have a built-in RF receiver, which facilitates the installation of wireless control, as it only needs to be paired with a control button. A separate receiver is therefore not required.

The maximum loads of the transformers are 30W, 50W, 100W and 200W. The transformers do not have standard wiring.

VaLO RF controllers

Buttons and remote controls for wireless control of luminaires allow the lighting to be controlled independently. The wireless controllers are suitable for dimming single colour temperature luminaires, dimming colour temperature control and dimming of luminaires with one colour temperature.colour temperature control and dimming of luminaires/groups of luminaires, as well as for controlling colour adjustable LED strips. The wall buttons can be freely fixed in the desired position either by screwing or by using a frame tape.

For added intelligence, such as timer and other functions, the buttons can be paired with a WiFi RF box and an Easy Home mobile app.
