Installation and deployment

Installing smart locks and doorbells is straightforward and requires little technical skill, but installing a smart lock over an old lock may not be straightforward. The through-holes in the old lock are likely to be in a slightly different position, and there is a wire running between the outer and inner units of the lock, so new holes will need to be drilled through the door. Optimally, the builder will supply the lock to the door factory in advance.

We also recommend the use of a steel cover plate to cover any old lock marks.

The video doorbell is available as a POE model, where power and data transmission are seamlessly carried over a network cable. A Wifi version is also available which runs on a USB rechargeable battery (3-6 months).
