Sensors and controllers are the foundation of the smart home, automating safety and comfort. Tuya-enabled sensors, such as motion sensors, water leak detectors and smoke detectors, detect and react to changes in real time.

How do smart sensors and controllers work?

Smart sensors detect changes in the environment, such as movement, smoke, temperature or humidity, and send the information to your phone or smart screen. Controllers, on the other hand, allow you to control things like valves and heating systems automatically or remotely

Products and examples of use

We have a range of Tuya compatible sensors for every application. Here are the most important ones:

Leak detector

A battery-powered leak detector/moisture sensor that immediately alerts your smart screens and phone when water is detected. Install under the kitchen sink, under the dishwasher or by the shut-off valve, for example. Battery operated.

Ball valve motor

You can control the valve remotely, for example, turn off the ball valve at the cottage from the comfort of your sofa. You can also automate the ball valve motor in combination with a leak detector, i.e. when the leak detector detects moisture, the powerful motor closes the valve.

Motion sensor

A motion sensor detects movement. You can create automation, for example, to turn on lights when motion is detected or turn off unnecessary lights when no motion is detected. A motion sensor brings security and practicality to your home or office.

Smoke detector

Needless to say, you'll be alerted by your appliances when a smoke alarm detects smoke. You can set up automation to turn on all lights when an alarm is triggered. Battery powered.

Radiator thermostat

The radiator thermostat allows you to control the radiator remotely or automatically. The thermostat is suitable for traditional radiators with a rotary valve. Optimise the room temperature to just the perfect temperature easily. Battery operated.

Installation and commissioning

The sensors and controls are designed to make installation as easy as possible. Most devices can be installed directly in place without any technical skills and are connected to the Tuya Smart app with a few clicks of a button

An example of an installation guide:

1. Connect the sensor or controller to a location such as a valve or wall.
2. Activate the sensor (long press on the pairing button, etc.).
3. Add a new device in the Tuya Smart app.
4. Test the operation of the device and adjust the automation as needed.

Compatibility

Sensors and controllers can be integrated with other Tuya-compatible devices, such as lighting with a Tuya Smart Display or Hub. So you need a Tuya hub with sensors.
