IP66 - IP68 - the best protection against moisture, dirt and dust

The IP rating is a standard that defines the level of protection of a luminaire against different environmental conditions. The standard uses two numbers, the first indicating protection against dust (0, no protection - 6, dustproof) and the second against moisture (0, not protected - 8, resistant to continuous immersion in water).

IP66 rated luminaires are dustproof and protected against strong water spray from any direction.

IP67 rated luminaires are dustproof and resistant to momentary immersion in water.

IP68 rated luminaires are dustproof and resistant to continuous immersion in water.
