LedStore’s VOID spot light fixture is designed for spaces and applications where it must be possible to replace the bulb and where the bulb’s frame must not be visible on the ceiling surface. This fixture is matte white.

We recommend using an LED bulb that replaces a halogen bulb with this product, as LEDs are energy-efficient, generate less heat, and have a long lifespan.

Stylish and invisible round frame

This matte white frame is perfectly designed. The frame is not visible on the ceiling surface because it is recessed into the ceiling material. This frame can be adjusted to accommodate different material thicknesses. It features a matte finish and a 20 mm recessed light source. The recessed light source minimizes glare. A genuine glass lens makes the frame splash-proof (IP44).

You can replace the bulb by pulling out the center section using a suction cup.

The frame measures 72 x 40 mm and features 55 x 25 mm mounting tabs on both sides. The cutout size is 72 mm (75 mm at the screw locations).

Installation

This frame has two wings on the sides. These wings are adjustable from 0.1 to 20 mm to accommodate different material thicknesses, so you can install it either behind or in front of the ceiling material. The most common installation is on the surface of drywall.

Installation method on the surface of drywall:

1. Run the wires and install the brackets where you want to mount the light fixtures
2. Mark the location of the wires.
3. Install the drywall.
4. Cut a 72 mm hole (leaving a couple of millimeters extra around the screw holes for the wings).
5. Adjust the wings to the desired leveling thickness.
6. Install the frame base with two small screws.
7. Add plaster, sand, add more plaster, and sand again.
8. Paint or finish the surface as desired.
9. Pull the socket into view and screw the bulb into the socket.
10. Install the bulb in the lamp holder.
11. Push the center section into the ceiling.

IP44 protection for damp locations

In this frame, the clear lens is made of genuine glass. The lens is glued to the frame, which prevents water splashes from entering the frame.

LED bulb options

GU10 LED bulb

GU10 bulbs operate directly on mains power. We offer several GU10 models, such as warm 3000 K and neutral 4000 K white, as well as a Zigbee bulb with adjustable color temperature.

The installation space in the ceiling for a GU10 must be at least 110 mm, including the frame, the GU10 bulb, and the base.

MR16/GU5.3 LED Bulb

MR16 (GU5.3) bulbs operate on 12V DC, so they require a power supply. We offer several MR16 models, such as warm 3000 K and neutral 4000 K white. Our selection also includes 12V power supplies for lighting fixtures of various sizes.

The installation space in the ceiling must be at least 90 mm when using an MR16-base bulb, including the frame, the MR16 bulb, and the base.

Safety Note for Installation

With this product, you must comply with all fire safety regulations governing the installation of halogen lamps, as it is possible to install a halogen lamp in this frame and socket. A halogen lamp may reach temperatures exceeding 200 degrees Celsius.

Information

The LedStore FRAME+SOCKET package is intended for applications where you want the bulb to have a standard socket and be replaceable. We recommend using a high-quality LedStore LED bulb in the frame, which reduces the frequency of replacements and minimizes the heat load generated by the light source.

When selecting a recessed LED fixture equipped with a replaceable bulb, keep in mind that fire protection must be installed around the fixture in the same way as for halogen spotlights. If no guard has been installed, you should factor in the cost of one when selecting the fixture. The guard is required for fire safety reasons, as it is possible to inadvertently install a halogen bulb—which can heat up to over 200 degrees—in place of an LED bulb. Such an accident cannot occur with LED spotlights, as their base type or module is not compatible with previous halogen lights.
