VaLO Matter 5 channel 12-24V receiver

Five-channel receiver for wireless Matter dimming and shade control for 12-24V LED luminaires. This receiver is for single group control.

The receiver is powered by 12V-24V, either from a transformer, battery or from a steam generator. The controller passes through the voltage supplied to it, so when you bring 24V from the transformer to the receiver, 24V comes out of the receiver to the led strip or luminaire.

So the control is on the secondary side, after the transformer. This means that the transformer does not need to be dimmable, for example, but the dimming takes place at the receiver.

All our Matter devices have an internal memory in case of power failures. When the power comes back on, the light returns to the last used mode.

Maximum load per channel4A, total 20A. So at 12V voltage 48W/channel (total 240W) and at 24V voltage 96W/channel (total 480W).

With this receiver, the following adjustments can be made:

• Dimming of monochrome LED strips
• Colour adjustment and dimming of Red/Green/Blue/Whiteled strips and panels
• CCT(Cool White/Warm White) colour temperature control and dimming of light from spots and panels
• Red/Green/Blue/White+ CCT(CoolWhite/Warm White) LED strip colour and temperature control and dimming

What is Matter?

Matter is a new open source standard for home automation created by the Connectivity Standards Alliance.

Its goal is to create a coherent and secure smart home ecosystem by defining a common language and protocol for communication between devices. It also aims to reduce the complexity and cost of smart home systems by providing a single, open source standard that can be freely used by all manufacturers.

By adopting the Matter standard, manufacturers can create devices that are fully compatible with other Matter-enabled devices, regardless of brand. Matter 1.0 uses a combination of Wi-Fi and Thread protocols for wireless communication between devices. It also uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) during initial setup via Android's Fast Pair feature.

The Matter is supported by Philips HUE, Google Home, Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa, IKEA Dirigera and others.
