    LEDStore's PLAFONDI 120 6W luminaire has the equivalent luminous intensity of an 11W fluorescent tube, i.e. about 500 lumens. The LED circuits are mounted directly on the frame. This solution achieves maximum thermal conductivity and a safe operating temperature (below 50 degrees Celsius). The low operating temperature ensures a long lifetime of 35000.

    Colour rendering index (CRI) is over 90 and thermal conductivity is excellent. High quality components ensure that the light colour does not fade.

    PLAFONDI 120 will not be affected by frost, rain or snowstorms if it is installed on the roof of a carport or terrace. The PLAFONDI 120 led is widely used as a replacement for spotlights in general lighting both outdoors and indoors.     Installation

    The luminaire is recessed and the mounting hole size is 104mm. The luminaire body is aluminium and powder coated in matt white with a matt acrylic diffuser.

    Each luminaire is supplied with its own power supply. The power supply for one luminaire solves a problem specific to halogen luminaires: one power supply is subject to heavy loads, gets hot and breaks down the luminaires. We have separated the power supply from the luminaire, which prevents the power supply from heating up the luminaire and thus extending the life of the luminaire. The power supply has a quick connector for easy installation. The power supply measures 76x33x22mm and fits through the mounting hole in the ceiling.

    Thanks to the low operating temperature, the luminaire can be installed against wood or plaster. The Led PLAFONDI 120 fits into a typical roof structure with only 48x48mm reinforcement and 13mm plasterboard under the vapour barrier. We recommend installing a piece of board or plasterboard above the luminaire to prevent the insulation from sagging.

    LED luminaires are compatible with home automation systems (e.g. KNX and Talomatti) and work seamlessly as part of a smart home.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.


Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.



The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
