ModLed frame, solid, matt black, IP54 + GU10 or MR16 socket without bulb
This is a complete set including a ModLed frame and your choice of GU10 or MR16 socket without bulb.
The frame is matt black and IP54 protected. The beam angle is 40 degrees. The ModLed range is modular and with this set you can choose a GU10 or GU5.3 bulb holder to go with the frame. Bulbs must be purchased separately. Our range includes GU10 bulbs in 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures, as well as CCT 2700K-5800K. GU5.3 or MR16 bulbs are available in 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures.
Functional bulb frame
This frame is designed to provide a fixed illumination directly downwards through the mat diffuser. The mounting hole is 62 mm. The frame is held in the mounting hole by two springs which are provided in the frame.
The outer diameter of the frame is 90 mm.
Water and dust resistance
The IP class is a standard that defines the degree of protection of the luminaire against various environmental conditions. The standard uses two numbers, the first indicating protection against dust (0, no protection - 6, dustproof) and the second against moisture (0, no protection - 8, resistant to continuous immersion in water). This frame has an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashing water. This luminaire is therefore suitable for use in damp areas and outdoors, such as bathrooms or covered terraces.
With this frame waterproof to IP54, it also protects the bulb from water. The waterproof lens can also be removed if desired, if waterproofing is not a requirement in the room.
Options for bulbs
GU10 LED bulb
GU10 bulbs use direct mains power We have several GU10 models, including warm 3,000K and neutral 4,000K white, as well as a colour temperature adjustable Zigbee bulb.
The mounting space in the inner cover with GU10 should be at least 90 mm including the frame, GU10 bulb and the holder.
MR16/GU5.3 LED lamp
MR16 (GU5.3) bulbs use 12V DC voltage and therefore require a power supply. We have several MR16 models, including warm 3 000K and neutral 4 000K white. We also offer 12V power supplies for different sizes of luminaires.
The mounting space in the inner cover with MR16 should be at least 70 mm including the frame, the MR16 lamp and the lamp holder.
Safety note for installation
With this product you must take into account all fire regulations made for the installation of halogens, as it is possible at some point to accidentally insert a halogen lamp into this frame and stem. The halogen may reach temperatures in excess of 200 degrees Celsius.
Information from
LEDStore's KEHYS+KANTA package is intended for applications where a standard and interchangeable bulb is desired. We recommend using a high quality LedStore LED bulb in the frame, so that replacement is less frequent and the heat load generated by the light source is minimised.
When choosing a flush-mounted LED luminaire with replaceable bulb, it is important to consider that the luminaire must be surrounded by a fire protection system in the same way as halogen lamps. If no such protection is fitted, the cost should be taken into account when selecting the luminaire. The protection is required for fire safety reasons, as it is possible to inadvertently replace an LED bulb with a halogen bulb that can heat up to over 200 degrees Celsius. Such damage cannot occur with LED spots whose lampholder type/module is not identical to that of previous halogen lights.

ModLed's proprietary module is available in either 3000K or 4000K white light with near perfect colour rendering, CRI97. The module is dimmable, chainable and has a light output of 8W producing 600 lumens. The module is also compatible with GU10 frames.
