  • Product description

Waterproof LED strip NEON IP65 4000K 230V is easy to install and bend into different shapes. The strip is encased in a strong silicone cable that reflects light from one side.

The NEON bendable strip has a light colour temperature of 4000K. The colour rendering index of the ribbon is about 93 which means that the colours are reproduced very well. The ribbon is 5 m long and has a 1 m connection cable at both ends (schuko male and female).

    Product information

Our NEON ribbon is 10W/m (800 lumens per meter) and has 120 LED circuits per meter. This makes the light uniform enough for indirect lighting, for example, and is popular as an easy work light or balcony light. The heat-conductive silicone coating around the ribbon smoothes the light beautifully and is waterproof at the same time. NEON led is easily bendable. You can easily get the strip in the desired arc. The strip has a CRI of about 93, which is excellent and suitable for home lighting, even in demanding applications.

    Popular applications:

    • Outdoor eaves
    • outside on the balcony balustrade
    • outside on the balcony, outside on the balustrades of staircases (clip to the site staircase railing and take with you when the site is over!)
    • a couple of nails on the wall and a nail hanging on top of the wall and you can go round the whole room!

We have also built our own light fixture in our shop from the product. Here's an article on a subject where not everything went right at once, but the end result is really spectacular! Read our blog: the NEON ribbon on the ceiling. The article uses a 24V version that can be switched off. When using this ribbon, you have to measure it correctly at 5m and plug the second end of the cable well. This 230V NEON ribbon must not be cut!

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.

Mikä on CRI, eli Värintoisto indeksi

Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.

The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
