LED downlight — ROUND R023, 2-wire CCT adjustable 2700 - 5600K, IP54, dimmable, 9W, white, CRI98

LED ROUND R023W 2-wire CCT luminaire is dimmable and moisture-protected (IP54), also from the back. The R023W 2-wire version’s light color temperature can be adjusted between 2700K and 5600K using only two wires! A great retrofit solution, meaning CCT adjustable lighting can be created with after-installations!

This LED downlight is dimmable, and the color temperature adjustment works by ordering a Zigbee or DALI series receiver controlling 2-wire CCT luminaires along with a CCT control button. Without a receiver, the luminaire produces a single tone of about 4200K.

We use top-quality LED chips with a color rendering index (CRI) of 98 (full spectrum!), so colors are rendered as they should be. The light comes beautifully from a single point. This luminaire is a popular “hotel model,” where light comes elegantly from a recessed niche, making it glare-free from the side.

R023W is suitable for general lighting from private homes to public spaces. Its light output corresponds to at least a 50W halogen, 650 lumens. The luminaire includes an extra lens to even out the light; removing this lens increases the output to 800 lumens.

The luminaire features 2-wire adjustable color temperature from 2900K to 5600K. You will need a receiver compatible with 2-wire CCT luminaires (e.g., for a group of 10 luminaires):

• Zigbee: VaLO Zigbee LED receiver 12-24V – for 2-wire CCT LED strips and lights, 5A

• DALI: VaLO DALI2 DT8 dimmable LED receiver 12-24V – for 2-wire CCT LED strips and lights, 5A

Note that group control requires both a group power supply and a receiver. When calculating power needs, add 25% extra, so e.g., 6x9W CCT spots need at least a 68W driver. The driver can always be larger.

The luminaire is IP54, meaning it is waterproof, including from the back. The luminaire’s driver is not splash-proof but can withstand outdoor installation under eaves.

The LED ROUND R023W 2-wire CCT recessed luminaire is made of cast aluminum, with the LED chip mounted directly to the body. This solution achieves maximum heat dissipation and a safe operating temperature (below 50 degrees Celsius). The low operating temperature and extremely high-quality LED chip ensure a long lifespan of 50,000 hours, and we provide a 7-year warranty on our luminaire!

The LED module of the luminaire is removable and replaceable.

Installation

The luminaire is fixed-frame and very shallow, only 50mm high! It fits typical ceiling structures where there is only 48x48mm battens under the vapor barrier and 13mm drywall. We recommend installing a strip of wood or drywall above the luminaire to prevent insulation from sagging. Installation hole diameter is 76-80mm.

There is a quick connector between the luminaire and the power supply to facilitate installation.
