The LED KOLO lamp is dimmable and the light color temperature can be selected between 2800K-6600K. The lamp can be connected to various lighting control systems, such as Zigbee and DALI2.

The lamp has a tilt angle of 90°, which means it is also suitable for very steep ceilings, regardless of the angle of inclination. If desired, the lamp can be mounted on a wall, which can be used as a reading light, for example. It also works well for lighting paintings, artwork and flowers.

  • The KOLO spot is an efficient, dimmable luminaire with a selectable light colour temperature between 2800K and 6600K. The KOLO spotlight is particularly suitable for rooms with very sloping ceilings. The luminaire is often used for high ceilings in living rooms and in places where you want to illuminate paintings, works of art or flowers, for example, because it is easy to orientate.

    Features

    The luminaire has a 90° tilt angle, making it suitable for very steep ceilings, whatever the angle of inclination. The luminaire can also be wall-mounted, for example as a reading light.

    Installation examples:

    • Straight ceiling - The luminaire can be aimed straight down, or for example at a blackboard on the wall.
    • Sloping ceiling - This spot can always be aimed straight down, regardless of the slope of the ceiling!
    • On the wall - The lamp can be recessed into the wall for a night light!

    High CRI or colour rendering

    The KOLO spot has a high colour rendering. It has a CRI of 96 (full spectrum!), which means that the colours in your interior are reproduced as they should be. The light comes beautifully from a single point.

    Light output

    LED KOLO is suitable for general lighting applications from private homes to public spaces. LED KOLO has a luminous intensity of 1250 lumens. This makes the luminaire suitable for use in rooms above normal room height. The luminaire consumes 10W.

    Selectable light colour temperature

    The luminaire has an adjustable light temperature. With the basic transformer, the shade is selected by a switch at the installation stage 2800-3800-4700-5600-6600K. If you want to adjust the colour temperature of the light continuously, you will need a 36V group transformer, a receiver and a wireless button (Zigbee or RF) or alternatively a DALI receiver and a control button (the button requires control wires).

    Long-lasting quality

    The luminaire is matt white with a black inner ring that deepens the effect of the invisible downlight. The LED COLO is cast aluminium and the LED circuit is mounted directly on the body. The solution achieves maximum thermal conductivity and safe operating temperature (below 50 degrees Celsius). The low operating temperature and the high quality LED circuit guarantees a long lifetime. All our luminaires are CE and RoHS approved.

    Transformer selection

    The basic transformer of the luminaire is TRIAC dimmable and a light colour selection lever is supplied to select the shade at the installation stage. A DALI2 transformer is also available, as well as a button to connect the luminaire to a DALI system, allowing the colour temperature and brightness of the light to be adjusted continuously. These transformers fit into a mounting hole in the downstand.

    If you want a group of luminaires with a transformer for stepless control of light colour temperature and dimming, choose the right size 36V transformer for your group and the right receiver and pushbutton (DALI, RF and Zigbee) for the system you want. Group transformers are always selected based on the group size and are therefore not available for selection with this product. NOTE! The luminaire requires a 3-pole low-current cable from the luminaire to the transformer, as the luminaire is CCT adjustable.

You can therefore shorten the mounting tube, but then you can no longer push the light part of the luminaire back into the roof. Strong springs will always hold it in the 3 cm thick material.

    The transformers selectable in this set will fit through the mounting hole into the mounting space. When using the TRIAC transformer,the light colour temperature change is done via a switch. The light must be switched off before changing the colour, otherwise the luminaire will be damaged!

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.


Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.



The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
