    The recessed LED FLOOR LAMP is ideal for staircases as a step light or as a corridor light, where it creates a uniform and glare-free light.

    Features of the luminaire

    This flush-mounted LED FLOOR LIGHT illuminates interior passageways with a pleasant, downward light that does not glare. By connecting the IN-WALL luminaire to the presence detector, you get a functional solution for night lighting without the need to switch on other lights.

    The light does not heat up but stays comfortably cool and is safe for families with small children or pets. The light source is a 3W powerled, which is equivalent to a 15W halogen light source, producing 150 lumens. The light colour is warm white, 3000K. The LED light is energy efficient and long-lasting, reducing electricity consumption and carbon footprint.

    The luminaire is also available in matt white and matt black.

    The luminaire comes with a 3-year warranty.

    Water and dust resistance

    The IP class is a standard that defines the level of protection of a luminaire against different environmental conditions. The standard uses two numbers, the first indicating protection against dust and the second against moisture. This LED LAMP has an IP21 rating, which does not provide adequate protection against moisture. Its use in humid areas is not recommended.

    Installation

    IN-WALL luminaires are installed in-wall at a height of approximately 30-50 cm. The mounting hole is 70x70 mm and at least 52 mm deep. Preferably a little more, so that the wires can be easily concealed. The LED luminaire itself is 80x80 mm and only 25 mm thick.

    A 40x40x20 mm auxiliary power supply is included in the price. This model is not dimmable.

    By connecting the IN-WALL to the presence detector, you get a functional solution for night lighting without having to switch on other lights.

    Ready for home automation

    The staircase light can be integrated into your home automation system by installing a Zigbee 230V receiver. Please note that the receiver must fit behind the lamp in the wall, so there must be a good matchbox of empty space.

    The luminaire is not dimmable, so the receiver will only achieve wireless ON/OFF control of the luminaire via a button or mobile if you have a Zigbee bridge such as Philips HUE.

    Applications

    This luminaire is perfect for illuminating walkways and staircases indoors (IP21). The light is directed downwards to illuminate the steps without glare. WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.


Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.



The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
