    Note: Due to established naming conventions, the actual power of CCT, RGB+W, and RGB+CCT LED strips is lower than stated.

    A CCT LED strip with a rated power of 7.2 W/m actually uses less power, because both circuits (warm and cool) are not run at full power simultaneously. For example, in a 7.2 W/m CCT LED strip, the LED circuits are 3.6 W + 3.6 W, and the CCT controllers regulate the power between these two circuits. As a result, the actual power draw never exceeds 4 W in practice. Therefore, the true power consumption of the LED strip is 4 W/m, even though the stated power is 7.2 W/m.
