Do you want to control DALI lights with your phone, Zigbee buttons, or wireless sensors? The Zigbee-DALI Gateway combines wired DALI lighting and the wireless Zigbee system into a single integrated solution. DALI devices can be integrated into Zigbee smart control without having to rebuild the entire lighting system. Or you can use it simply as a modern DALI system.
The gateway enables bidirectional Zigbee-DALI communication: Zigbee devices can control DALI lights, and conversely, DALI buttons and sensors can also control Zigbee devices. You can use the mobile app to set up the system, create groups, scenes, automations, and other settings.
What can you do with the Zigbee-DALI Gateway?
Control DALI lights and DALI controllers using the mobile app
Control DALI lighting with Zigbee buttons, remote controls, and sensors
Use DALI buttons and DALI sensors to control Zigbee lights, curtains, and thermostats as well
Create shared groups and scenes that include both Zigbee and DALI devices
Build automations based on sensors, timers, and other devices
Control lighting locally or via the cloud
Use the Circadian Rhythm feature, where brightness and color temperature change according to the time of day
Track energy consumption
Connect the system to Home Assistant
Use compatible voice control via Apple Home/Siri, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home/Google Assistant
A bridge between two worlds
DALI is a highly reliable solution for wired lighting, while Zigbee brings wireless buttons, sensors, mobile control, and smart home automation to the system. With this gateway, there’s no need to keep the systems separate: both wired DALI and wireless Zigbee devices can be integrated into the same control system.
Example of a system configuration: The Zigbee gateway, Zigbee-DALI gateway, and DALI bus devices all operate as part of the same integrated system.
Easy setup with a mobile app
The gateway is connected to the Azoula Zigbee hub, after which DALI bus devices can be discovered and set up in the app. No separate, resource-intensive PC software is required for standard setup and configuration.
Local or cloud-based control
The system can be used locally via a local area network or via a user account in the cloud. This allows the lighting to be controlled either locally or remotely, depending on the situation. A cloud account is required if you want to integrate controls with Alexa, Siri, etc.
DALI DT6, DT7, and DT8—Versatile Lighting Control
The gateway supports multiple types of DALI control gear, such as DT6, DT7, and DT8 Tc, XY, and RGBWAF devices. Features include, for example, standard dimming, adjustable white light, and control of compatible colored lights.
CCT / Tunable White
With DT8 Tc devices, both light brightness and color temperature can be adjusted directly from the user interface.
RGBWA Color Control
Compatible DT8 color devices can also be used to control colored lighting and related DALI parameters.
Zigbee controls DALI—and DALI can control Zigbee
The key feature of this product is bidirectional communication. A Zigbee button, motion detector, light sensor, or remote control can be configured to control DALI devices. Conversely, a DALI input device, such as a button or sensor, can also be configured to control Zigbee devices.
Example: You can use a wireless Zigbee wall button to control your existing DALI lighting without having to run a new control cable to the button. Or you can use an existing DALI button to control both DALI lights and Zigbee devices with the same function.
Up to 200 groups and 200 scenes
The gateway expands on the traditional DALI concept and allows you to create up to 200 groups and 200 scenes. A single group or scene can include both Zigbee lights and DALI control gear devices. A single control gear unit can be assigned to up to 30 groups and 30 scenes.
Automation with Sensors, Devices, and Schedules
Automations can be triggered by sensors, other devices, or a timer. This allows you to implement, for example, motion-based lighting, control based on light levels, or time-based lighting scenarios.
Natural circadian rhythm
In Circadian mode, the color temperature and brightness of the light can be programmed to change automatically throughout the day, mimicking the natural variation in daylight. Up to 24 time points can be set for a 24-hour period, and the program can be repeated on selected days of the week.
Energy Consumption Monitoring
The system includes energy monitoring, which allows you to view consumption at the level of the entire system, a specific area, or an individual device, for example. You can configure a device’s power rating to match its actual load, and the gateway updates consumption data every half hour.
Voice Control and Home Assistant
The gateway can be connected to Home Assistant, and the system also supports voice control via a compatible Zigbee gateway and service, including Apple Home & Siri, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home / Google Assistant.

Who is this for?
The Zigbee-DALI Gateway is particularly well-suited for homes, offices, conference rooms, schools, large apartments, and medium-sized projects where the goal is to maintain the reliability of a DALI system while adding Zigbee’s wireless capabilities and smart control.
It’s a good choice, for example, when a location already has DALI lighting but you want to add smartphone control, wireless buttons, Zigbee sensors, or smart automation without having to replace the entire system.
Points to Note
Mobile, cloud, and smart home control require an Azouls Zigbee gateway/hub. The gateway’s DALI bus power supply is 100 mA, so the actual maximum number of DALI devices depends on the power consumption of the devices connected to the bus—16+16 units.

Zigbee CCT led drivers
Zigbee CCT Products that you can use when you want stepless CCT control. Compatible wiht Philips HUE!
The light is ordered without its own driver and a group driver is selected for CCT spots or CCT panels, as well as for CCT led strip lighting.
The transformer size for spots and panels is calculated by adding up the Watts + 25%.
For the CCT led strip, a 15% margin is sufficient.
e.g. 4x 9W CCT spot = 45W, so the closest is 50W
