  • Product description

    5m LED strip light HELMI PRO, 3000K, 24V, 12,4W/m, IP65, CRI94

In PRO LED strip we use LED circuitry with a colour rendering index of 94. This LED strip is dimmable and moisture-proof to IP65 (non-yellowing surface). The strip comes in 5m rolls. Unlike our other led strips, this strip has no connectors, so it is best suited for bespoke projects where cables and connectors are installed separately and the transformer installation is fixed.

The reason for the price of the brilliant led strip light is the dried out tape, which has a poor grip.

    For lighting of all objects

Our PRO LED strip has an effective power input of 13.2W/m and a luminous flux of 1055 lumens/m. Compared to our other strips, the strip is narrow (8mm) and shallow, and the powerful LED circuits are not very close together, making it easier to connect the strip. The ribbon has 60 LED circuits per metre. We give a 3 year warranty on the PRO ribbon.

    Installation

In addition to the strip, the installation of the LED strip requires a transformer, an aluminium profile and operating switches.

PRO LED strip 24V comes in 5m rolls and can be cut to size in 10 cm increments. The ribbon has clear markings for easy cutting and the cut points have copper dots for soldering. We recommend soldering the strips together. We are happy to help with any installation questions.

We recommend powering from both ends if the strip is more than 10m in a single piece. This prevents light loss and provides an equally bright light from both ends. The Led strip should always be attached to an aluminium (or other metal) strip to allow excess heat to be conducted away from the LED circuit. This will prolong the life of the led strip, and keep the warranty valid. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where they are available in a variety of different types.

LED strip 24V works well with solar power, boats and cars that use 24VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, please order a suitable 24V power supply for the strip.

Installing plugless transformers is electrical work and requires adequate qualifications. We will be happy to help you with any installation questions.

    Dimming

To dim the LED strip, you can use either a traditional rotary wired dimmer or our VaLO RF series wireless dimmer. When using a conventional rotary dimmer, the transformer of the LED strip must be TRIAC dimmable. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip and the power supply. You can then control the strip with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.

    Light colour temperature

3000 kelvin, warm white. Also available in 4000K neutral white. We reserve a 100 kelvin range for product batches.

    Create your own lamp

Why use LED strip only for traditional applications when you can make a luminaire out of almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by fixing the LED strip to another material that conducts heat well. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip. A good design is half the job. We are happy to help you with your design, and we make LED strip made to measure at LedStore's LedShop.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.

Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.

The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.

This measurement is from a 9W CCT Led spot
