    5m LED strip light HELMI, 3000K, 24V, 14,4W/m, IP65, CRI96

Our LED strip has a luminous intensity of 15,8W/m and 120 LED circuits per meter. The reel contains 5 meters of LED strip 120 LED circuits per meter make the light uniform enough for indirect lighting and countertop lighting, for example. When mounted on a low profile (7mm) aluminium profile, the pointiness is only slightly noticeable. When indirectly illuminated through a wall, the light is uniform. The CRI of the strip is 96, which is excellent and suitable for use in home lighting. This LED strip light 24V version is more resistant to long feeds without light fade than its sister product 12V 14,4 W/m.

    Excellent colour rendering

The CRI rating indicates how well an LED light reproduces colours as they should be. A high CRI value indicates that the luminaire reproduces a wide range of colours. The closer you get to 100, the more naturally colours are reproduced. This LED strip light has a CRI of up to 96, which ensures excellent colour rendering.

    About

In the Helmeile strip light we use an SMD 2835 LED chip with a colour rendering index of over 95. This LED strip is dimmable and waterproof (non-yellowing, thin silicone surface). Our LED strip is easy to attach with the 3M adhesive tape included. This led strip 15,8W/m is equivalent to the light output of almost 120cm fluorescent tube, so you will save a lot of electricity with this solution! The colour temperature of the light from this strip is warm white 3000K.

    Installation

In addition to the LED strip, you will also need a power supply, an aluminium profile and operating switches.

The LED strip comes in a 5m roll and can be cut to size every 5cm. The tape has clear markings to make cutting easier. We recommend soldering the strips together, as we have found that the quick connectors loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash. Both ends of the tape have pre-soldered connectors with DC plugs that can be used depending on the destination.

We recommend powering from both ends if the ribbon is more than 10 metres in a continuous length. This prevents light loss and provides an equally bright light from both ends. The LED strip should always be attached to an aluminium strip to allow excess heat to be conducted away from the LED circuitry. This extends the life of the LED strip and keeps the warranty valid. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where they are available in several different types.

LED strip 24V works well with solar power and boats that use 24VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, please order a suitable 24V power supply for the strip. Please note when choosing a transformer that the actual power of this LED strip is 15,8W/m.

Connecting plugless transformers is electrical work and requires adequate qualifications. We are happy to help you with any installation questions.

    Dimming

To dim the LED strip, you can use either a traditional rotary wired dimmer or the wireless dimmer in our VaLO RF series. When using a conventional rotary dimmer, the transformer of the LED strip must be TRIAC dimmable. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip and the power supply. You can then control the strip with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.

Tested dimmers and test results can be found here.

    Create your own lamp

Why use an LED strip only for traditional applications when you can make a luminaire out of almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip and the aluminium profile into the shape you want, or by fixing the LED strip to another heat-conducting material. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip. A good design is half the job. We are happy to help you with your design, and we make LED strip made to measure at LedStore's LedShop.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.

Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.

The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.

This measurement is from a 9W CCT Led spot
