The colour temperature of the light of the Tunnelma retractable strip light can be adjusted between 2600K and 7000K. The strip can also be bent sideways, for example in the corner of the room, thanks to the bending points on the LED strip. The adhesive surface of the ribbon is pre-applied, so it adheres firmly to smooth and flat surfaces such as aluminium. The strip has a colour rendering index of 94 which means that colours are reproduced well (colours are best reproduced in 4000K white light)

This led strip operates on 24V voltage, and is dimmable by selecting the appropriate dimming products. To make the colour control work, for example, order the VaLO series rotary (RGB/CCT) pushbutton and receiver (RGB/CCT). For smart homes, for example, a Zigbee transformer and controllers are selected.

Product information

Our mood strip is 14.4W/m (569 lumens per metre) and has 120 LED circuits per metre. This makes the light uniform enough for indirect lighting, for example. When mounted on an aluminium profile, the spotlight is only noticeable when viewed directly from the front. The strip is bendable thanks to the bending points and the adhesive surface on the strip. You can easily get the strip at the angle you want without soldering. When indirectly illuminated through a wall, the light is uniform. The CRI of the strip is over 95, which is excellent and suitable for home lighting.

Installation

The LED strip comes in 5m rolls and can be cut to size in increments of 5cm. The strip has clear markings to make cutting easy. We recommend soldering the strips together as we have found that the quick-release fasteners loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash. Our Led strip is easy to attach with the 3M high grip tape that comes with it.

We recommend that one transformer is not used to feed a 24V strip over 10m, to avoid light degradation at the other end of the strip. So if you need more than 10m of ribbon, we recommend that you feed the ribbon from the middle, for example. The led strip should always be attached to an aluminium strip, so that excess heat is conducted away from the led circuit. This will prolong the life of the led strip. The CCT led strip is connected to the control unit, and the control unit is connected to a power supply which is connected to the mains. For smart homes, a Zigbee transformer and controllers are selected.

The LED strip works well with solar power, boats and cars if they use 24VDC. Then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, order a 24V power supply of suitable power for the strip. The power supply does not need to be dimmable, as dimming takes place between the strip and the control unit, after the transformer.

Dimming

To dim the LED strip, you can use the wireless dimmer of our VaLO RF series. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip and the power supply. You can then control the strip with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.
