FLAT LED strip light 17W/m

Our Balanced LED strip light has a luminous intensity of 17W/m and a staggering 240 LED circuits per metre. This makes the light very even. Even with a low aluminium profile, there is no pointiness and the light is uniform. In the flat light strip we use SMD 3528 led circuitry with a colour rendering index of a staggering CRI97. The light does not flicker or yellow but has a natural appearance. This led strip light is dimmable and suitable for use in dry areas (IP21). The 17W/m LED strip light is easily equivalent to 120cm fluorescent tube, so you save a lot of electricity with this solution!

Choose from halogen equivalent 3000K, slightly cooler beautiful 3500K and neutral white 4000K. Thanks to the high colour rendering index, all shades reproduce the colours of the surroundings well.

Installation

The LED strip light comes in 1m rolls and can be cut to size in 2,5cm increments. The strip light has clear markings to make cutting easier. We recommend soldering the light strips together, as we have found that the quick-release fasteners loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash. There are pre-soldered connectors at both ends of the light strip, which can be used depending on the destination. We will be happy to help with any installation questions.

We recommend powering from both ends if the strip light is more than 10m in a continuous length. This prevents light loss and provides equally bright light from both ends. Both ends can be supplied by a single transformer if a thin wire is run alongside the profile. The actual power consumption of this strip light is 20W/m, which should be taken into account when sizing the transformer. An electrician is good at this kind of work.

Our led strip light is easily fixed with the 3M very strong adhesive tape that is included. led strip light should always be fixed to an aluminium strip so that excess heat is conducted away from the led circuit. This will prolong the life of the led strip light. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where they are available in a variety of different types.

The led strip light works well with solar power, boats and cars that use 24VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, order a power supply here.

Dimming

For dimming your Led strip light you can use either a traditional rotary wired dimmer or our VaLO RF series wireless dimmer. When using a rotary conventional dimmer, the transformer of the LED strip light must be TRIAC dimmable. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip light and the power supply. You can then control the strip light with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.

Create your own light

Why use an LED strip light only for traditional applications when you can make a light from almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip light and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by attaching the LED strip light to any other heat-conducting material.
