Product information
Our mood strip is 14,4W/m (1000 lumens per meter) and has 60 LED circuits per meter. This makes the light uniform enough for indirect lighting, for example. The heat-conducting silicone coating around the ribbon smoothes the light beautifully and is waterproof at the same time. NEON led is easily bendable. You can easily get the strip in the desired curve without soldering. When indirectly illuminated through a wall, the light is even. The strip's white 4000K light has a CRI of over 85, which is ok and suitable for use in advertising and outdoors.
Installation
The LED strip comes in 25m rolls (sold by the metre!) and can be cut to size in increments of 10cm. There are clear markings on the tape to make cutting easier.
First cut the silicone open around the LED strip and only then cut the strip with scissors at the mark. The led strip can be extended by soldering and the silicone glued tightly with silicone glue.
Our Led strip is easy to attach with the aluminium fasteners included. 1 per metre.
We recommend that one transformer is not used to feed a 24V strip over 10m (regardless of power), to avoid light reduction at the other end of the strip. So if you need more than 10m of ribbon, we recommend to supply voltage to the ribbon from both ends.
The RGBW led strip is connected to a control unit, and the control unit is connected to a power supply which is connected to the mains.
The LED strip works well with solar power, boats and cars if they use 24VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, order a 24V power supply of suitable power for the strip. The power supply does not need to be dimmable, as dimming takes place between the strip and the control unit, after the transformer.

Dim the lights
To dim your LED strip, you can use the wireless dimmer in our VaLO RF series. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no switch on the wall for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered continuously.
In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.
With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip and the power supply. You can then control the strip with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.
Create your own light
Why use an LED strip only for traditional applications when you can make a light from almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by fixing the LED strip to another heat-conducting material. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip. A good design is half the job. For the RGBW ability to work, you need DALi, VaLO RF, VaLO Zigbee or other system to control it.
LED strip can be cut to measure in every 5cm. If you have pieces left, we recommend that you solder the wanted lengths together and glue silicone to keep it waterproof.
If you have more than 10m of strip, you need to feed the power from both ends or from the centre to minimize the powerloss.
LED strip works in boats, as it is 24VDC you might not even need a driver!
Remember to order a driver (unless it is for a boat, car or with solar power of 24VDC).

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX
High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.
CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.
Colour rendering index
The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.
RA value
The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.
The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.
Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
