What are Tuya IP cameras?

IP cameras, or Internet Protocol cameras, are smart security devices that connect wired or wirelessly via Wifi to your home network. They offer up to 4K video, motion detection and two-way audio, making home surveillance easy and efficient. The cameras are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. IP cameras use network data transmission for image transmission, rather than traditional coaxial.

What's a POE?

POE stands for Power Over Ethernet. So the camera gets power, as well as data flow, directly from the network cable (RJ45). So you need a POE router/video recorder that supports power flow in addition to data flow on a single wire. In our range you will find a Tuya POE video recorder to which you can connect up to 8 cameras.

Why choose POE?

High quality picture quality requires a good network connection. The only way to get a reliable and high quality signal to the recorder in high resolution is with a network cable. Wifi cameras are individually suitable to complete the camera range, but we do not recommend them for important locations.

IP cameras can therefore operate either wired or wireless (WiFi), while POE cameras always need a network cable.

Easy application or monitor

You have 3 ways to use our POE IP cameras.

1. Tuya Video Recorder

1.1 You can use the Tuya app (android/Ios) from anywhere to watch LIVE footage or recordings.

1.2 Alternatively, you can connect a mouse and monitor to the Recording Station for local monitoring as well (video monitor).

2. Other systems

As the cameras also support RTSP and ONVIF protocols, you can connect them to almost any system as such, by connecting them to a POE router.

Installation and deployment

The installation of camera systems is designed to be user-friendly. Our range of cameras are plug-and-play models that can be connected directly to the recorder using POE technology.

Installation instructions:

1. Connect the camera to the network cable (POE)
2. Connect the camera to the Tuya Smart app by scanning the QR code.
3. To set up the camera, simply connect the camera to the Tuya Smart TV via the QR code.
