36V COB CCT LED Strips – A Professional-Grade Solution for Long and High-Performance Lighting

36 V COB CCT LED strips represent the latest advancement in linear LED lighting. They are specifically designed for applications requiring the most uniform light possible, long, continuous installations, and minimal voltage drop.

In the LedStore selection, you’ll find 36 V COB CCT LED strips in three power classes:

• 7.2 W/m (actual power consumption in CCT mode approximately 4 W/m)

• 14.4 W/m (actual power consumption approximately 8 W/m)

• 30 W/m (actual power consumption approximately 16 W/m)

CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) allows for stepless adjustment of warm and cool white tones, for example, between 2700–6500 K, as well as the selection of a natural color temperature for different situations.

Why a 36 V LED strip?

Less voltage drop

The biggest advantage of a 36-volt system is significantly lower current at the same power output.

For example, 72 W of lighting draws:

• a 12 V system with approximately 6 A

• a 24 V system with about 3 A

• a 36-volt system only about 2 A

Lower current means less voltage drop in both the power cables and the LED strip itself. As a result, the light remains more consistent along the entire length of the strip and does not dim noticeably toward the end.

Longer continuous runs

Because the voltage drop is significantly lower, 36 V LED strips can be used to create longer continuous lighting runs before additional power supplies are needed.

This makes the installation:

• neater

• faster

• more reliable

• easier to plan

Long, indirect lighting applications—such as hallways, kitchens, retail spaces, and public areas—benefit particularly from a higher operating voltage.

Better efficiency

As current decreases, the losses generated in the conductors also decrease.

In practice, this means:

• less stress on the connectors

At higher power levels, the difference becomes even more pronounced.

An excellent choice for high-power COB strips

30 W/m COB LED strips require a lot of power. In a 12 V system, this means very high currents, which quickly increase voltage drop.

With a 36 V operating voltage, the same power is achieved with a significantly lower current, which allows even high-power COB strips to operate more consistently and maintain their brightness even in longer installations.

In a COB (Chip-On-Board) LED strip, individual LED dots are not visible; instead, they form a uniform line of light.

Its advantages include:

Connecting 36V CCT LED strips

36V CCT LED strips require a separate controller to adjust the color temperature. In addition to the LED strip (and the cooling aluminum profile), you will need:

• A 36V power supply rated for the load; for example, 15 meters of 14.4W CCT LED strip (power consumption 8W/m) = 15m x 8W x 15% = a minimum 150W power supply

• Desired system (DALI or Zigbee)
  A DALI or Zigbee CCT controller that enables dimming and color temperature control

• Button and app included with the system.
