What are PAR LED lamps?

PAR stands for Parabolic Aluminized Reflector. PAR LED lamps are specially designed LED lamps with a reflective housing that concentrates the light into a compact beam. They are ideal for applications where directional or focused light is required.

Luminosity and rainfall angles

PAR LED lamps are renowned for their high luminous efficacy and are available in a range of beam angles from narrow spotlights to wider spotlights.

At the moment we only stock the most popular PAR20 models with 45 degree light beam.

Energy efficiency

LED PAR lamps are more energy efficient than traditional halogen PAR lamps, with significantly lower power consumption per unit of light. Up to 50% lower power consumption.

Durability and lifetime

With a typical lifetime of around 25,000-50,000 hours, our PAR LED lamps last significantly longer than halogen lamps

Applications and use cases

Residential buildings

In homes, PAR LED lamps are often used for task and accent lighting and for outdoor lighting due to their directional properties.

Commercial use

In the commercial sector, they are commonly used in display cases in retail outlets and in theatres and events as spotlights.

Special applications

PAR LED lamps are also used in photography and videography for controlled lighting effects. These require a very high CRI. Ledstore's PAR lamps have a CRI of +92, meaning that the shadows are reproduced naturally.

Compatibility with existing home systems

PAR LED lamps are increasingly being integrated into basic home systems for remote control and automation. We can make ZIGBEE PAR lamps if you need, but the minimum is 500 units.

Installation and maintenance

Installation tips

Make sure the luminaire is compatible with the size and wattage of the PAR-LED lamp. Before changing bulbs, switch off the power and securely attach the bulb to the socket.

Maintenance and troubleshooting

PAR LED lamps require only light maintenance. If the lamp does not work, check that it is securely mounted or that the lamp is powered.
