    R7s LED lamp 3000K, dimmable

LedStore's high quality R7s LED lamp with warm 3000K colour temperature. Colour rendering index (CRI) of over 93!

Energy savings are to be expected, as one 10W bulb is equivalent to 50W halogen with the same light output.

R7s LED 3000K light output is 982 lumens.

This dimmable R7s led bulb has 360 degree light opening. The bulb is 118 mm long and 15 mm in diameter.

    Discover the R7s lamps

R7s lamps, also known as linear halogen lamps, are a popular choice for spotlights, emergency lighting and certain types of indoor lighting. Recently, LED versions of these lamps have gained popularity due to their energy efficiency and long life.

R7s lamps are often found in torchiere floor lamps, lamps, make-up lamps, shop lamps and recessed luminaires.

History and evolution of R7s lamps

The R7s lamp, also known as the linear halogen lamp, is a type of lamp that has been in use for several decades. The designation 'R7s' refers to the stem used by the lamp, which has two contacts or 'pins' at each end of the linear lamp.

The original R7s lamps were halogen lamps. Halogen lamps were an improvement over traditional incandescent lamps, providing brighter light and a longer life. These lamps work by passing an electric current through a filament enclosed in a small quartz envelope filled with halogen gas. The interaction between the halogen gas and the filament leads to a halogen cycle, which helps extend the life of the bulb and allows it to operate at higher temperatures, producing brighter light.

However, halogen lamps, including R7s, are not particularly energy efficient. This led to the development of the R7s LED lamp. LED technology, short for Light Emitting Diode, is much more energy efficient than halogen or incandescent technology. LED lamps work by passing an electric current through a semiconductor that emits light.

R7s LED lamps have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their energy efficiency and long life. They are now widely used in a variety of environments such as spotlights, emergency lights and certain types of indoor lighting.

Understanding the technical characteristics of R7s lamps

R7s LED lamps are available in different lengths, typically from 78 mm to 118 mm. They are characterised by high luminous efficacy and colour rendering index (CRI), making them an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor lighting. LedStore only manufactures HIGH CRI R7s LED lamps

    Applications and use cases

We recommend using LedStore's advanced dimmable led R7s LED bulbs in place of all halogens. The R7s 4000K will meet the needs of the most demanding user with its high colour rendering and highly accurate Kelvin reading. 3000K is just 3000K in this spot!

    Households

In homes, R7s LED lamps are often used for task (spotlight) lighting, accent lighting and make-up lighting. The warmer 3000K model is better suited to warmer homes.

    Commercial use

In commercial settings, R7s 3000K models are commonly used in retail rails, theatres and as spotlights at events. Also in exhibition spaces.

    Special applications

R7S LED lamps are also used in photography and videography for controlled light effects. These require a very high CRI.

Advantages of using R7S LED lamps

R7S LED lamps offer several advantages over conventional lamps. They are more energy efficient, have a longer lifetime and provide excellent light quality. They are also easy to install and replace.

Comparison of R7s lamps with other lamp types

When compared to other lamp types, R7s LED lamps stand out for their energy efficiency and long life. Although they may be more expensive initially, they can save you money in the long run because of lower energy costs and fewer replacements.

    Environmental impact of R7s lamps

R7s LED lamps are more environmentally friendly than halogen lamps. They consume less energy and last longer, reducing their overall environmental impact.

As LED technology continues to develop, we can expect to see even more efficient and longer-lasting R7s lamps.

    Smarthome ready

LedStore can manufacture ZIGBEE R7s lamps on request, but there is a minimum quantity.

When purchasing an R7s lamp, please consider the length, wattage and colour temperature of the lamp to ensure it meets your needs. This model is HIGH CRI 93. The colour rendering index (CRI) is important because it tells you everything about the quality of the light.

Also look at the long warranty, as it says a lot about quality. Our model has a 3 year warranty.

    R7s installation

Installing and replacing R7s bulbs with LED R7s bulbs is a simple process. Simply remove the old bulb from the socket and insert the new bulb. Always make sure the power is off before attempting to replace the bulb.

Safety precautions when handling R7s lamps

When handling halogen R7s lamps, it is important to avoid touching the bulb with your bare hands, as oils can damage the bulb (the oil on top of the bulb will burn in). Always handle the bulb from the ends or use a clean cloth.

LED R7s are easier to handle because they do not get so hot and oils from fingers do not damage them.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.

Mikä on CRI, eli Värintoisto indeksi

Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.

The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
