In the Helmeile strip light we use SMD 5050 led circuitry with a colour rendering index of over 85. This led strip light is dimmable and intended for indoor use. our led strip light is easy to attach with the 3M high adhesive tape. The 14.4W/m 12V Helmeile led strip light is equivalent in luminous intensity to almost 120cm of fluorescent tube, so you will save a lot of electricity with this solution!

For general lighting
Our Helmeile strip has a light output of 14.4W/m and 60 LED circuits per metre. This makes the light uniform enough for indirect lighting and countertop lighting, for example. When mounted on an aluminium profile, the spotlight is only noticeable when looking directly at the luminaire from the front. When indirectly illuminated through a wall, the light is uniform. The CRI of the strip light is over 85, which is good and suitable for use in home lighting.
Installation
In addition to the Led strip light, a power supply and aluminium profile are required for installation, as well as operating switches.
The Led strip comes in a 1m roll and can be cut to size in increments of 5cm. The strip has clear markings to make cutting easier. We recommend soldering the light strips together, as we have found that the quick-release fasteners loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash.
We recommend powering from both ends if the 12V light strip is more than 10m in a continuous length, this prevents light loss and gives an equally bright light from both ends. the led strip should always be attached to an aluminium strip to allow excess heat to escape from the led circuitry. This will prolong the life of the LED strip light and keep the strip light warranty valid. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where they are available in a variety of different types.
The led strip light works well with solar energy, boats and cars that use 12VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, order a 12V power supply suitable for the strip (e.g. 10m 14,4W is 72W in total, so any 12V power supply above 72W will work).
Connecting plugless transformers is electrical work and requires adequate qualifications. We are happy to help with any installation questions.
Dim
For dimming your Led strip light you can use either a traditional rotary wired dimmer or our VaLO RF series wireless dimmer. When using a conventional rotary dimmer, the transformer of the LED strip light must be TRIAC dimmable. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.
In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.
With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip light and the power supply. You can then control the strip light with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.
Create your own light
Why use an LED strip light only for traditional applications when you can make a light from almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip light and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by attaching the LED strip light to any other heat-conducting material. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip light. A good design is half the job.
