LED panel 300x1200 UPPOAVA is a multifunctional luminaire for indoor and outdoor use. The LED panel is suitable for bathrooms, terraces and kitchens. The panel blends perfectly into the ceiling and creates the effect of a skylight in the room lighting. The luminaire is dimmable and moisture-proof and also comes with a 5-year warranty.
About Led technology
It doesn't matter what kind of light a luminaire produces. For the home, it is recommended to choose a light with a colour rendering index of at least 90 CRI or higher, so that the lighting looks natural to the eye. In the newer versions, UPPOAVA -led panels always exceed CRI 95. This means that the light produced by the luminaire will not unnecessarily distort shades, and your chosen interior will look as it should. There is a choice of 3000K (warm white) and 4000K (neutral white) light colours. 4000K white light is pure and natural in colour, making it ideal for a light window or a skylight.
Our range of Led panels is also available as colour temperature adjustable, allowing the Kelvin or white light tone to be selected between approximately 2500K and 6500K.
The UPPOAVA -led panel uses an edge cover, so that the light comes in softly without spottiness and the matt acrylic diffuses the light evenly. UPPOAVA panel 1200, 36W led is equivalent in luminous intensity to 250W halogen (3000 lumens) and 72W led is equivalent to about two 250W halogens (6000 lumens).

Installation
The luminaire is recessed in the ceiling or surface-mounted. When recessed, the mounting hole should be 280x1180mm. The luminaire itself is 295x1195x22mm and the separate power supply is 195x45x33mm. The power supply fits inside the surface mount frame. The power supply wires can be extended up to a maximum of five metres.
The luminaire will fit into a typical ceiling structure with only 48x48mm insulation and 13mm plasterboard under the vapour barrier. If the vapour barrier is installed loosely, we recommend installing a board or plasterboard above the luminaire to prevent the insulation from sagging. The LED will not reach high temperatures, so no fire protection is required. However, it is not recommended to mount the LED luminaire on any material and an air space of e.g. 1-2 cm can be left.
The luminaire is available as an accessory with a 50mm high surface mounting frame, which can accommodate the luminaire's power supply.
Dimming
The UPPOAVA -led panel is supplied with a dimmable power supply with a quick connector for easy installation of the luminaire and the power supply. UPPOAVA -led panels are dimmable with TRIAC dimmers from the ENSIO side. Suitable dimmers include Schneider's EXXCT and ABB's Jussi. More detailed information, such as maximum load, is given with the dimmers. The UPPOAVA -led panel is suitable for use with home automation systems such as KNX and Talomatti.

Basic UPPOAVA LED PANEL 1200 is a recessed light. Installation hole should be 295x1195mm. Driver size is 195x45x33mm and it can be plaCEd maximum of 5m from the light. The driver comes with every PANEL light. LED PANEL is 13mm thick, so it fits to most of the ceiling structures (basic plaster board is similar in thickness). We recommend that you install a plaster board on top of the PANEL if the steam lock has been installed loosely. The LED PANEL needs 10-20mm air space on top of the light.You don't need any protection cups etc. when using led lights as the temperature of the light never exeeds 80 CElsius.
If you need surface mounted light, you just order a frame with this light. The driver fits inside the frame. It's also possible to order the light as a suspended model with cable length of approx. 1,5m.
The reason we have desided to have the driver separatre from the body is that this way the driver does not add up to the lights heath load and this makes the light last longer. The driver is included and has a quick connector for easy installation.
UPPOAVA LED PANEL 1200 can be used with house automatics (ie. KNX and Talomatti).
Surface mounting frame is available for this product. Frame is 50mm in height and fits the driver inside.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX
High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.
CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.
Colour rendering index
The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.
RA value
The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.
The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.
Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
