LED downlight — SQUARE SQ023BR, IP54, CCT 2900-4000-5300K,dimmable 9W, Brushed aluminum, high CRI98

LED SQUARE SQ023BR (brushed aluminium) is dimmable and moisture-proof (IP54), also from behind. We use high quality LED light sources with a colour rendering index (CRI) of 98 (full spectrum!) and the colours are reproduced as they should be. In the light, the light comes beautifully from a single point. The light is also available in black and white.

LED SQUARE SQ023BR is suitable for general lighting applications from private homes to public spaces. The luminous intensity of the LED SQUARE 023 is equivalent to at least 50W halogen, +600 Lumen. The light has an extra lens with light equalisation, which when removed, provides 750 lumens.

A 15W version is also available for offices and high spaces.

The light has an adjustable light colour temperature of 2900-4000-5300K with a power supply switch, so you can choose the right colour for your interior. Even change according to the seasons!

If you want to adjust the colour temperature of the light continuously, you will need a controller suitable for CCT lights (e.g. for a max 100W group):

• VaLO RF: VaLO RF 100W driver and VaLO RF CCT wireless push-button.
• VaLO Zigbee: VaLO Zigbee 100W driver and VaLO Zigbee CCT wireless button.
• Wireless control: 100W 24V driver and embeddable pushbutton in the box.

Please note that for group control, the Valasim's own driver will be omitted and replaced by a larger group driver. As the power requirement decreases, the driver will be increased by 25%, i.e. 6x9W CCT spots will need a minimum of 68W driver. The driver can always be much larger.

The light is IP54, i.e. the light is waterproof, also from the rear. The driver of the light is not splash-proof, but can withstand outdoor use in eaves.

LED SQUARE SQ023BR is a flush-mounted light in cast aluminium with the LED circuit mounted directly on the body. The solution achieves maximum thermal conductivity and safe operating temperature (below 50 degrees Celsius). The low operating temperature and the high quality LED circuit guarantees a long lifetime, 50,000h and we grant a 7 year warranty on our manufactured light!

The LED module of the light is removable and replaceable.

Installation

The light has a fixed frame. The light is very low, only 45mm high! The light will therefore fit into a typical roof structure with only 48x48mm of insulation and 13mm plasterboard under the vapour barrier. We recommend installing a piece of board or plasterboard above the light to prevent the insulation from sagging. The mounting hole diameter is 78-80mm.

Each light is supplied with its own chained power supply which fits through the mounting hole into the mounting space. By moving the power supply away from the light, we prevent the power supply from heating up the light, and we can keep the size of the light small. The power supplies are long-lived and this also allows us to avoid the typical problem with halogen lamps, where one power supply is subjected to a heavy load and gets hot, and breaks the light. There is a quick connector between the light and the power supply for easy installation. The light colour change is made by a switch on the power supply. The options are WW 2700K, DW 4000K and CW 5300K. The power must be switched off before changing the colour, otherwise the light will be damaged. By default, the lamp is set to DW.

Dimming

The light can be dimmed with wireless dimmers or TRIAC dimmers, from the PRIMARY side and they also work with home automation such as KNX. Suitable dimmers can also be ordered from us, "Led dimmers"

• VaLO Triac dimmer with remote control option
