The controller is mounted between the driver and the light and the controller passes through the voltage that is applied to it, e.g. voltage 24V from the driver in and 24V to the RGBW strip out, i.e. control is from the secondary side. So the driver does not need to be dimmable! All our Zigbee devices have an internal memory for power failures. The light returns to the last used state.

In addition to the receiver, you need either a wireless Zigbee button or a WIFI Zigbee box and an Android/iOS device to control the LED light.

A single receiver (a light or a group of lights connected to it) can be controlled by multiple buttons (e.g. when you need control from the top and bottom of a staircase) when used via a Zigbee box. If a receiver (light/group of lights) is paired directly to a push-button, only one receiver (light/group of lights) can be controlled by one push-button.

This receiver allows one of the following (selected by a DIP switch on the receiver):

• Dimming of monochrome LED strips
• Red/Green/Blue/Whitestrip and panel colour adjustment in addition to dimming.
• CCT (warm and cold in one) temperature control and dimming of spots and panels
• Red/Green/Blue/White+ CCT (warm and cold in one)

Is VaLO Zigbee compatible with other Zigbee devices?

Yes! If you have a Philips Hue controller, for example, you can use it for example:

IKEA TRГ…DFRI system, Google Home devices and software and of course any other Zigbee product.

This product is Apple Homekit compatible via Zigbee Plilips HUE.
