    LED ribbon 24V PRO

In PRO LED strip we use a LED circuit with a colour rendering index of 95. This LED strip is dimmable. Our LED strip is easy to fix with the 3M high adhesive tape. PRO led strip 12,4 W/m illuminates 1116 lm/m, so it is very energy efficient! The strip comes in a 5m roll. Unlike our other led ribbons, this ribbon has no connectors, so it is best suited for bespoke projects where cables and connectors are installed separately and the transformer installation is fixed.

    For all types of lighting

Our PRO LED strip has an input power of 12.4W/m and a luminous flux of 1116 lumens/m for a total lumen output of 5580 lm. The strip is narrow and low compared to our other strips, and the powerful LED circuits are not very close together, making it easier to connect the strip. The ribbon has 60 LED circuits per metre. We give a 3 year warranty on our PRO ribbon.

    Installation

In addition to the strip, the installation of the LED strip requires a transformer, an aluminium profile and operating switches.

PRO LED strip 24V comes in 5m rolls and can be cut to size in 10 cm increments. The ribbon has clear markings for easy cutting and the cut points have copper dots for soldering. We recommend soldering the strips together. We are happy to help with any installation questions.

We recommend powering from both ends if the strip is more than 10m in a single piece. This prevents light loss and provides an equally bright light from both ends. The Led strip should always be attached to an aluminium (or other metal) strip to allow excess heat to be conducted away from the LED circuit. This will prolong the life of the led strip, and keep the warranty valid. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where they are available in a variety of different types.

LED strip 24V works well with solar power, boats and cars that use 24VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases order a suitable 24V power supply for the ribbon (e.g. 2,5m*12,4W ribbon=31W, but always add a minimum of 10% so 2,5m would require a minimum of 35W transformer).

The installation of unplugged transformers is electrical work and requires adequate qualifications. We are happy to help with any installation questions.

    Dimming

To dim the LED strip you can use either a traditional rotary wired dimmer or our VaLO RF series wireless dimmer. When using a conventional rotary dimmer, the transformer of the LED strip must be TRIAC dimmable. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip and the power supply. You can then control the strip with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.

    Light colour temperature

Available in 3000K and 4000K light colour temperatures.

    Create your own light fitting

Why use LED strip only for traditional applications when you can make a luminaire out of almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by attaching the LED strip to another highly heat conductive material. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip. A good design is half the job. We are happy to help you with your design, and we make LED strip made to measure at LedStore's LedShop.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.

Mikä on CRI, eli Värintoisto indeksi

Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.

The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
