Introducing 3000K 2G7 LED lamp, dimmable

Among compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), the G23 lamp has found its place. Known for their bipolar base and U-shaped design, G23 lamps are efficient and versatile. We offer you a high quality LED replacement lamp. This 3000K 2G7 LED gives light from the other side, as the back side is designed to dissipate heat to make the lamp last longer.

    What is a 2G7 lamp?

a 2G7 bulb is a type of CFL with a four-pole stem, known as a 2G7 or plug-in stem. The lamp usually has a U-shaped miniature tube and also a transformer and a choke.

    2G7 Technical specifications

2G7 lamps have two different colour temperatures to suit different needs. We manufacture the most common 6W and 8W versions to replace 14W and 18W CFLs.

    Technical specifications

The average CFL 2G7 lamp has a lifetime of around 10,000 hours, but our model has +35,000 hours of use and a 3 year warranty.

How to identify a 2G7 lamp

the 2G7 lamp can be identified by its four-pole cap and distinctive U-shaped tube. The packaging or the base of the lamp is often marked "2G7".

    Applications

    At home

2G7 lamps are used in a variety of domestic environments such as table lamps, under-cabinet lamps and some outdoor lighting. This 3000K warm light is suitable for a warm look.

    Commercial and industrial use

In commercial and industrial environments, 2G7 lamps are used for task lighting, emergency lights and signage. 3000K warm is usually found in offices where a homely atmosphere is required.

    Installation and maintenance

How to install a LED 2G7 lamp

To install, the LED 2G7 is inserted into a compatible luminaire by aligning the pins and pushing it into place. Always ensure that the luminaire is switched off before installation. When replacing a CFL with an LED 2G7 lamp, take into account the condition and minimum load of the existing power supply. Not all power supplies will work properly with LED loads, as they are optimised for the higher load of the CFL. If the luminaire also has a choke next to the tube, then an electrical change must be made to allow the LED to be used in the luminaire.

    Tips for extending bulb life

Avoid frequent on/off switching and ensure that the bulb is used in a suitable lamp that does not cause overheating.

    Troubleshooting common problems

If a new lamp flickers or does not light, make sure that the minimum transformer load is met and that the choke does not prevent the lamp from lighting. Also check that the bulb is properly in the cap, or consider replacing the bulb if it is nearing the end of its life.

Advantages of the LED 2G7 3000K lamp

    Energy efficiency and environmental impact

LED G23 lamps are more energy efficient than CFL versions. Since CFLs contain a small amount of mercury, proper disposal should be done.

    Performance and reliability

LED G23 offers reliable performance throughout its lifetime and is much more energy efficient than CFL alternatives.

    Cost considerations

LED G23 lamps are affordable but have a higher initial cost compared to incandescent lamps.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX

High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.

CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.

Mikä on CRI, eli Värintoisto indeksi

Colour rendering index

The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.

RA value

The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.

The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.

Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
