Led light ribbon 24V for HELMEILE

In the Helmeile led strip light we use SMD 2835 led circuit with a colour rendering index of 97. This led strip light is dimmable and moisture-proof to IP65 (non-yellowing surface). Our led strip light is easy to attach with the 3M high adhesive tape. The 7.2W/m Helmeile led strip light is equivalent to a 15W fluorescent tube, so you save a lot of electricity! It comes in a 1m roll.

For accent lighting

Our Helmeile strip light has a light output of 7.2W/m and 500 lumens/m. The strip light has 120 LED circuits per meter. This makes the light uniform enough for lighting stairs, railings and plinths, for example. When mounted on an aluminium profile, the spotlight is only visible when viewed directly from the front. When indirectly illuminated through a wall, the light is uniform. The CRI of the strip light is 97, which is excellent and suitable for use in home lighting.

Installation

In addition to the strip light, a transformer, aluminium profile and operating switches are required for the installation of the Led strip light.

The Led strip 24V comes in a 1m roll and can be cut to size in increments of 5cm. The strip has clear markings to make cutting easier. We recommend soldering the light strips together, as we have found that the quick-release fasteners loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash. There are pre-soldered connectors at both ends of the light strip, which can be used depending on the destination. We will be happy to help with any installation questions.

We recommend powering from both ends if the strip light is more than 10m in a continuous length. This prevents light loss and provides equally bright light from both ends. The LED strip should always be attached to an aluminium (or other metal) strip to ensure that excess heat is conducted away from the LED circuitry. This will prolong the life of the LED strip light, and keep the warranty valid. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where they are available in a variety of different types.

Led strip light 24V works well with solar power, boats and cars that use 24VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, order a suitable 24V power supply for the strip light (e.g. 10m*7,2W strip light=36W, but always add 10%, so 10m would require a minimum 39,6W transformer).

The installation of unplugged transformers is electrical work and requires adequate qualifications. We are happy to help with any installation questions.

Dimming

To dim your Led strip light, you can use either a traditional rotary wired dimmer or our VaLO RF series wireless dimmer. When using a conventional rotary dimmer, the transformer of the LED strip light must be TRIAC dimmable. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip light and the power supply. You can then control the strip light with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.

Create your own light

Why use an LED strip light only for traditional applications when you can make a light from almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip light and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by attaching the LED strip light to any other heat-conducting material. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip light. A good design is half the job.
