There is also an RGB version of the Helmeile strip light, where we use RGB+4000K LED circuits with a white colour rendering index of 83. This LED strip light is dimmable (with dimmable transformer or receiver) and waterproof (non-yellowing surface). Our LED strip light is easy to attach with the 3M high adhesive tape included.

For playful lighting

Our Helmeile RGB strip has a luminous intensity of 14.4W/m and 60 LED circuits per metre. This makes the light sufficiently uniform for indirect lighting in various spaces such as terraces, lounges, cinema rooms and dormitories. Also for creating atmosphere in sports and leisure areas.

When mounted on an aluminium profile, the spotlight is only visible when looking directly at the luminaire from the front. When illuminated indirectly through a wall, the light is uniform. The CRI of the strip light is 83. The strip light should always be mounted in metal to allow the LED circuits to dissipate their heat away from the circuit. This way the LED strip light will withstand use and will not break.

Installation

Led strip light comes in 1m rolls and can be cut to size every 10cm. The strip has clear markings to make cutting easier. We recommend soldering the light strips together, as we have found that the quick-release fasteners loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash. We are happy to help with any installation issues.

Dimming

To dim your Led strip light, you can use the wireless dimmer in our VaLO RF range. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the luminaire, but the luminaire is powered by a constant current.

In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee transformer and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee transformers, the receiver is already built-in.

With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip light and the power supply. You can then control the strip light with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.

We recommend powering from both ends if the light strip is more than 10m in a continuous length, this will prevent light loss and give an equally bright light from both ends. the LED strip should always be attached to an aluminium strip to allow excess heat to escape from the LED circuitry. This will prolong the life of the led strip light. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where three different types are available. We do not currently offer transformers for the 12V RGB strip.

The led strip light works well with solar power, boats and cars that use 12VDC, then a separate power supply is not needed.
