The colour temperature of the light in the Ambient strip can be adjusted between 2500K and 6500K. The adhesive surface of the strip is ready-made, so it adheres firmly to smooth and even surfaces such as aluminium. The tape has a colour rendering index of over 95 which means that colours are reproduced well (colours are best reproduced in 4000K white light).
This LED strip operates on 24V voltage, and is dimmable by selecting the appropriate dimming products. The colour control can be made to work, for example, by ordering the VaLO series CCT button and receiver (CCT). For smart homes, for example, choose a Zigbee driver and controllers.

Product information
Our mood strip is 7.2W/m (500 lumens per meter) and has 30 LED circuits per meter. When mounted on an aluminium profile, the point density is noticeable. When indirectly illuminated through a wall, the light is uniform. The CRI of the strip is over 95, which is excellent and suitable for use in home lighting. This strip is also IP65, meaning it is waterproof. So install this on a patio or sauna behind a backrest or under a ceiling in profile.
Installation
The LED strip comes in 5m rolls and can be cut to size up to 16,6cm apart. The tape has clear markings to make cutting easier. We recommend joining the strips by soldering, as we have found that the quick fasteners loosen over time and loosening causes the lights to flash. Our Led strip is easy to attach with the 3M high grip tape that comes with it.
We recommend that one driver is not used to feed a 24V strip over 10m, to avoid light degradation at the other end of the strip. So if you need more than 10m of strip, we recommend that you feed the strip from the middle, for example. The led strip should always be attached to an aluminium strip, so that excess heat is conducted away from the led circuit. This will prolong the life of the led strip. Aluminium profiles can be ordered from our online shop, where we have a wide range of different profiles available.
The CCT led strip is connected to the control unit, and the control unit is connected to a power supply which is connected to the mains. For smart homes, a Zigbee driver and controllers are selected.
The LED strip works well with solar power, boats and cars if they use 24VDC. Then a separate power supply is not needed. In other cases, order a 24V power supply of suitable power for the strip. The power supply does not need to be dimmable, as dimming takes place between the strip and the control unit, after the driver.

Dimming
To dim the LED strip, you can use the wireless dimmer of our VaLO RF series. The strips can also be controlled by DALI systems. Wireless dimming is perfect for applications where there is no wall switch for the light, but the light is powered by a constant current.
In the case of a smart home, a Zigbee driver and controllers for wireless control are chosen. In Zigbee drivers, the receiver is already built-in.
With the VaLO RF wireless solution, you simply install the receiver between the LED strip and the power supply. You can then control the strip with wireless switches from wherever you want. The wireless switch is powered by batteries, which are easily replaceable. You can also mount the switch on the wall if you wish, but it does not need a separate power supply.
Create your own light
Why use an LED strip only for traditional applications when you can make a light from almost anything? Create your own wall light by bending the LED strip and the aluminium profile to the shape you want, or by fixing the LED strip to another heat-conducting material. Turn a mirror, table frame, trunk, table or chair into a lamp with the LED strip. A good design is half the job. For the CCT ability to work, you need a wireless button and a receiver.
LED strip comes in a 5m roll that can be cut to measure in every 16.6cm. We recommend that you solder the wanted lengths together as we have noticed that the fast clips tend to loosen after few years and then the light starts flickering.
If you have more than 10m of strip, we recommend to feed the power from both ends or from the centre to minimize the powerloss. All installations should be made on top of aluminium (ie. aluminium profile), that way the excess heat gets conducted away from led circuit and makes it last longer.
LED strip works in boats, as it is 24VDC you might not even need a driver!
Remember to order a driver (unless it is for a boat, car or with solar power of 24VDC).
