GU10 and MR16 Lamp frame, IP44, SILVER round, 20mm high
Silver round IP44 luminaire frame for GU10/MR16. This frame is designed so that only a small mounting hole of 56 mm is required in the ceiling. The height of the frame is 18 mm. Choose from the options for the bracket you need or just order the frame.
Silver round IP44 lamp holder for GU10/MR16 socket
The LedStore silver round lampholder, i.e. the lamp holder and the lamp holder of your choice, is created for spaces and needs where changing the lamp must be possible. We recommend using a halogen replacement led bulb with this product as led is energy efficient, heat generation is reduced and the bulb has a long life.
Small mounting hole
The silver frame is designed so that only a small mounting hole of 65 mm is required in the ceiling. The frame is held in the opening by two springs, which are pre-installed in the frame. The frame remains 18 mm above the surface of the ceiling.
The size of the frame is 72 mm outer diameter x 18 mm height.
IP44 protection against splash water
The base of this frame is made of genuine frosted glass, which prevents water splashes on the ceiling and makes your luminaire IP44 protected.
Stock options
This holder is suitable for GU10 and MR16 (GU5.3) bulbs.
Led bulb options
GU10 LED bulb
GU10 bulbs use direct mains power We have a range of GU10 models including warm 3,000K and neutral 4,000K white, as well as a colour temperature adjustable Zigbee bulb.
The mounting space in the inner cover with GU10 should be at least 90 mm including the frame, GU10 bulb and the holder.
MR16 (GU5.3) LED lamp
MR16 (GU5.3) bulbs use 12V DC voltage and therefore require a power supply. We have several MR16 models, including warm 3 000K and neutral 4 000K white. We also offer 12V power supplies for different sizes of luminaires.
The mounting space in the inner cover with MR16 should be at least 70 mm including frame, MR16 lamp and lamp holder.
Safety note for installation
For this product you must take into account all fire regulations made for the installation of halogens, as it is possible to install a halogen lamp in this frame and stem. The halogen may reach temperatures above 200 degrees Celsius.
Information from
LEDStore's KEHYS+ KANTA package is intended for applications where a standard and interchangeable bulb is required. We recommend using a high quality LedStore LED bulb in the frame, so that replacement is less frequent and the heat load generated by the light source is minimised.
When choosing a flush-mounted LED luminaire with replaceable bulb, it is important to note that the luminaire must be surrounded by fire protection in the same way as halogen lamps. If no such protection is fitted, the cost should be taken into account when choosing the luminaire. The protection is required for fire safety reasons, as it is possible to inadvertently replace an LED bulb with a halogen bulb that can heat up to over 200 degrees Celsius. Such damage cannot occur with LED spots whose lampholder type/module is not identical to that of previous halogen lights.
Finally
We recommend using Led Store's advanced GU10 or MR16 led bulb. This light achieves a staggering colour rendering index of almost 100 points, so the light reproduces the colours of the environment exactly as they are intended. Energy savings are to be expected, as one 6W spot is equivalent to as much as 50W halogen with the same light output. So get a high performance spot that lasts and is available in dimmable or even temperature-controlled with ZIGBEE smart lighting.

WHAT IS CRI, THE COLOUR RENDERING INDEX
High quality LED lights also have a high colour rendering index, or CRI. A good colour rendering index (CRI) for home use is above 90, and nowadays many market lights are unfortunately closer to 80.
CRI tells you how well an LED light displays colours as they should be. For designers and architects, as well as interior designers, it should be one of the most important considerations. Make sure the lighting is perfect so that your artwork is what it is meant to be.
Colour rendering index
The colour rendering index is expressed as a number on a scale from zero to 100, where 0 = no colour rendering and 100 = full colour rendering. The colour rendering index of LED lights is also known as Ra, which is measured on a smaller scale than CRI. This Ra value does not include red tones or skin tones, for example, so it is a 'glossed' figure for the true quality of an LED light.
RA value
The Ra value measures the reproduction of colours using eight different reference colours. CRI takes into account the wider (15) wavelength range, including reds and other warm colours.
The Ra value is calculated by cutting the wavelength range, weighting the blue and violet tones, and calculating the weighted average of R numbers 1-8.
Excluded from the Ra value are, for example, the colour rendering of bright reds, yellows and greens, and shades close to skin tone. These are described by R-values between 9 and 15. The following is a picture of a measurement result that easily confuses the consumer.
This measurement is from a 9W CCT Led spot
