Led technology

It does not matter exactly what kind of light the luminaire produces. We recommend choosing a light with a colour rendering of over 90 CRI to make the lighting look natural to the eye. UPPOAVA -led panels have a CRI of 98.

The colour of the light is adjustable The transformer/control unit and wireless controller are included in the order, as well as the wiring harness. There are 3m cables from the transformer to the luminaires. The light colour can be adjusted between 2800K (warm white) and 5800K (cold white). There is also an optional surface-mounting frame if the luminaires are to be surface-mounted. Note at that point that the transformer is only inside one of the frames and the BLACK cable runs between. A hole must also be drilled in the surface frame to route the cable to the second luminaire.

The UPPOAVA -led panel uses an edge cover, so the light comes in softly with no pinpointing and the matte acrylic still diffuses the light to a pleasantly even light. The UPPOAVA panel 300, 18W led is equivalent in light output to 125W halogen, which is 1500 lumens.

Installation

The luminaire is recessed in the ceiling or surface-mounted. When recessed, the mounting hole should be 283x283mm. The luminaire is 295x295x22mm and the power supply fits inside the surface mount frame. The power supply can accommodate a maximum of two 300*300 panels. The transformer is supplied with 230V and a splitter is supplied at the rear of the transformer, to which the 3m connection cables for the panels can be connected. the 3m cables can also be connected in series to form a 6m intermediate cable, if the transformer is next to one of the panels.

The luminaire will fit into a typical ceiling structure with only 48x48mm of 48x48mm insulation and 13mm plasterboard under the vapour barrier. If the vapour barrier is installed loosely, we recommend installing a board or plasterboard above the luminaire to prevent the insulation from sagging. The LED will not reach high temperatures, so no fire protection is required. However, it is not recommended to mount the Led luminaire on any material and an air space of e.g. 1-2 cm can be left.

The luminaire is available with an OPTIONA surface mounting frame which is 50mm high. The transformer fits inside the frame.

Dimming and colour adjustment

Using the VaLO series CCT receiver and pushbutton, the colour temperature of the luminaire light can be adjusted between 2500K and 6500K. In addition, the luminaire can be dimmed with the same button.

• From the top left corner (on/off symbol) the lamp goes off and on
• From the bottom left (sun), the lamp dims. Dimming is done by pressing and holding the button. Pressing the button again (for a long time) will divert the lighting level in a different direction than the previous press.
• From the top right corner (WW) you can adjust the colour temperature of the lamp to a warmer temperature.
• From the bottom right (CW) you can adjust the colour temperature of the lamp to a cooler temperature.
